Our History
he gentle art of pressing flowers goes back to our Victorian ancestors, and so it is to them that I owe my gratitude to apply this lovely art form to the preservation of Flowers. We also preseve blooms as three dimensional works of art.

My speciality is to preserve bridal bouquets and flowers from any special occasion.  I have a large selection of high quality wooden frames to choose from.  The background fabric is silk and you may choose any colour from subtle romantic shades, to deeper tones for a more dramatic effect.  I also offer a special service, where brides may use their own wedding gown fabric as a background for the bouquet.  A photograph or invitation may also be included in the arrangement, which makes the picture unique to your wedding.

How I wish that my Grandmother had preserved her bouquet for me in this way! We also specialise in Sympathy Flowers as a wonderful memory of a loved one. Babies Birth Flowers with a photo of thier new life celebration, - Graduation, Valentines or even a Dozen Red Roses from that someone special can benifit from our lasting touch.

When your order is received, ( if being Shipped ) a special container will be sent to arrive before the event date, with special care instructions for the bouquet.  Please send the flowers by overnight service.  Upon receipt, the bouquet is carefully labelled, and details of the shape are photographed, so that I may reproduce it as nearly as possible to the original.

Most bridal flowers preserve very well and the types that I would recommend are:

Roses
Freesia
Stephanotis
Lily of the Valley (my favourites)
Casablanca Lilies
Larkspur
Alstroemeria
Babies Breath
Queen Anne's Lace
Orchids

Dendrobium Orchids are available in white, cerise, and a lovely lime green.  Good florists use very unusual foliage such as Rue, Viburnum, and artemisia, which is silver.  Casablanca and Rubrum Lilies are exquisite, and not only look lovely on the day but preserve beautifully too!

It takes approximately eight weeks for the blooms to become conditioned from preserving, when their beauty can be captured for eternity.  Each picture is expertly framed and glazed, and dispatched to you by first class service.

Petals and Lace have preserved a bouquet that was presented to Princess Diana in England, The Queen and the Olymic Hockey Gold Medalists in Canada. Titled ladies and film stars are among our clientele.  We have had the pleasure of being in business for over 37 years.

The romantic nostalgia of a bride on her Wedding Day is something a woman will never forget, and the transfixed beauty of her bouquet will be a gift that she may pass down to her children as heirlooms of tomorrow.
